7 ponytails & a bawling tween!

SANJAYAAAAAA MADNESS is upon us! have you been watching American Idol? you don't have to to hear about Sanjaya Malakar, the new love-to-hate-love-dorky-Indian-idol (the idol part is up for discussion). last week, he made a tween bawl in the audience after he came down and gave her a hug--she might have gotten her period right there, because it was evident that she became a woman at that moment. Sanjaya got back on stage and finished his horrible rendition of whatever he was singing, Simon told him he sucked and everyone boo'ed. this exact scene was portrayed on SNL this past Saturday, and Andy Samberg plays a great Sanjaya!

not to be topped by the week before, Sanjaya wore 7 ponytails this week, the faux-mohawk look. honestly who does the hair and makeup there, art students who have Bo Ricks training? not only did he have 7 freakin ponys, he also sang one of Gwen Stefani's songs, "Bathwater" - it was real baaad and Gwen seemed to do whatever she could to not let him sing it...but then thank god he did, because Tuesday night would have not been the same:

"Sanjaya Malakar - He wanted to sing "Bathwater". She tried to get him to sing some 80's song. He said he was a big fan and he really wanted to do one of her songs. Gwen was upfront with him and told him she didn't think he could pull it off but gave him the benefit of the doubt. Today after seeing how rehearsals were going, she didnt' see any progress. She went to Nigel immediately and told him she does not want Sanjaya singing one of her songs whatsoever. Sanjaya didn't have many options at that point. He kind of got stuck with "Bathwater". This caused a big scene at the studio and was the talk all afternoon."
